Vivaldi’s Ruarí Ødegaard had the pleasure to inform us about the availability of the first and most probably the last Release Candidate build of the upcoming Vivaldi 1.1 web browser.
We reported earlier this week that the first point release of Vivaldi 1.0, the current stable branch of the proprietary web browser, is coming soon rebased on the Chromium 50 open-source project, bringing much-needed improvements and bug fixes. And now users can already test the RC1 release.
“Today’s snapshot is the first release candidate for Vivaldi version 1.1. Even if no further major issues are found, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update stream before it is released,” said Ruarí Ødegaard, Linux QA and Testing, Vivaldi, in the official release announcement.
