Powered by a low-latency Linux 4.8 kernel, Ubuntu Studio 16.10 (codename Yakkety Yak) ships today, October 13, 2016, with some of the latest package releases and up-to-date multimedia stack that should enhance your workflow for audio, video, graphics, photography, and publishing jobs.
Compared to Ubuntu Studio 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus), Ubuntu Studio 16.10 ships with DrumGizmo drumkits, Gpick advanced color picker and palette editing tool, dispcalGUI as a replacement for GNOME Color Manager, Calibre ebook library manager, as well as PDF-Shuffler utility for merging or splitting PDF documents.
