Ubuntu MATE lead developer and maintainer Martin Wimpress has announced earlier today, May 24, 2016, that the Ubuntu MATE 16.10 operating system is now open for development.
And it has already received new exciting features for an even better user experience, as the Ubuntu MATE Welcome and Software Boutique in-house built applications have been updated, and they now include a few excellent additions.
For example, Software Boutique, the graphical package manager of the Ubuntu MATE Linux operating system, now comes with an initial search feature called Boutique Search, which not only lets users search for apps but also launch, update, or remove, all of them from the same screen.
On the other hand, the Ubuntu MATE Welcome app has been updated to version 16.10.0 for Ubuntu MATE 16.10 (Yakkety Yak), and it now features a new category called Boutique News, which promises to keep user… (read more)
