Canonical has recently released Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, the very first point release for version 20.04. And of course, the focus is on bug fixing, so you’ll find a lot of things that have been improved in this update.
First and foremost, what you need to know is that this update also ships with new installation media, so if you’re coming from a different distro, Windows, or an older version of Ubuntu, if you get the latest ISO images, you should be able to jump straight to 20.04.1.
What’s more, Canonical says that users still running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS will soon be offered an automatic upgrade to 20.04.1 LTS via the Update Manager.
And of course, this new release comes with updates for all the official flavors of Ubuntu, so today you’re also able to download the following too:
