Furthermore, Uber is now part of the TODO Group as well, which according to an official press release, is specifically supposed to allow companies that are participating in the initiative to collaborate on projects and tools based on open-source solutions.
Uber’s focus on open source has become a priority for the company given its latest projects, and following investments in data vizualization, machine learning, and projects like Jaeger, it makes sense for the company to join The Linux Foundation.

With a Gold member status, Uber will get access to a series of other technologies, like the Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP), Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Hyperledger, EdgeX Foundry, Automotive Grade Linux, and Core Infrastructure Initiative.
