After announcing last week the inclusion of an in-house built utility that notifies users of new updates for their systems, the SparkyLinux developers today announced the inclusion of the Tomb and Gtumb tools in the distro’s repos.
Tomb is an open-source and 100% free command-line utility designed to make strong encryption easy to use, and Gtumb is a graphical user interface (GUI) for Tomb, allowing users to more easily backup their secret files and keep them away from hackers or people with malicious intent.
“Tomb generates encrypted storage folders to be opened and closed using their associated keyfiles, which are also protected with a password chosen by the user. A tomb is like a locked folder that can be safely transported and hidden in a filesystem,” reads the program’s descrip… (read more)
