Valve and the SteamOS developers have announced earlier, January 28, 2016, that they’ve promoted the SteamOS Brewmaster 2.61 update to the brewmaster_beta channel.
SteamOS Brewmaster 2.61 Beta is the first version of the Linux kernel-based operating system to be powered by Debian GNU/Linux 8.3 (Jessie), which was released a few day ago, updating many of the core components and applications.
