It appears that the new Shotwell maintainer is doing a great job in keeping the powerful open-source image viewer and organizer up to date with the latest GNU/Linux technologies and also patching bugs reported by users since previous releases.
Today, we’re happy to inform our readers about the release of Shotwell 0.23.5, the latest stable version of the open source software, which, according to the internal changelog attached at the end of the article, brings quite some improvements, lots of updated translations, and many bugfixes.
There are also a handful of new features implemented in the Shotwell 0.23.5 release, such as the ability to filter images by saved search, or the reimplementation of the “–disable-extra-plugins” configuration option that lets users disable extra plugins. Additionally, the PhotoTable component received new SQL indexes.
