Pinguy OS Developer Wants to Pull the Plug On His Ubuntu-Based Operating System

Just a few minutes ago, Antoni Norman, the developer of the Ubuntu-based Pinguy OS GNU/Linux operating system wrote a short blog post on the distro’s website to inform the community that he wants to pull the plug on the entire project.

If you never heard of Pinguy OS yet, we can tell you that it is a pretty decent Linux kernel-based, desktop-oriented operating system usually based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of the popular Ubuntu Linux distribution. For example, the current version, Pinguy OS 14.04.4, is based on Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS (Trusty Tahr).

Well, all good things must come to an end, and it looks like Mr. Norman is about to take the hardest decision of his life and close shop, of course, mostly due to financial problems. “It costs me more to run than I get from the project.
