Today, October 20, 2016, Softpedia was informed by Jide Technology, the team behind the popular Android-x86-based Remix OS operating system, about an upcoming device called Remix IO.
Remix IO is an all-in-one device that can be dubbed as a TV set-top box powerful enough to play 4K movies, an office or home PC, as well as a gaming console. Jide Technology exclusively launched Remix IO today on Kickstarter, and it’s available for pre-order worldwide for only $99 USD (~€90). Best of all, Remix IO is powered by Remix OS, which is now based on the latest Android 7.0 “Nougat” Linux-based mobile operating system from Google.
