Oberon, the maintainer of the Manjaro-i3 community flavor of the Arch Linux-based operating system, announced the availability of the Release Candidate (RC) build of Manjaro Linux 16.06 i3 Edition.
While currently based on the stable branch of the Manjaro Linux distribution, the Release Candidate of Manjaro Linux 16.06 i3 Community Edition is powered by the long-term supported Linux 4.4.9 kernel and built around the i3 4.12 window manager that’s packed with sticky and gaps windows, both of which are optional.
The developer has managed to implement the Urxvt daemon into the upcoming distribution, which will be released in the coming weeks as part of the major Manjaro Linux 16.06 “Daniella” operating system, to provide an optimal terminal performance for those who love the i3 window manager.
