Linux Kernel 4.4.11 LTS Is Out with s390 and OCFS2 Improvements, Updated Drivers

Renowned kernel developer Greg Kroah-Hartman has had the pleasure of announcing today, May 19, 2016, the release of the eleventh maintenance build in the long-term supported Linux 4.4 kernel series.

Linux 4.4 is currently the most advanced long-term supported kernel branch, used in numerous GNU/Linux distributions that are looking for a stable and reliable solution for their users, including the popular Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system, on both desktop and server editions. Linux kernel 4.4.11 LTS is a pretty important release that changes a total of 108 files, with 844 insertions and 480 deletions.

“I’m announcing the release of the 4.4.11 kernel.
