Collaborating on the open-source world has become a priority for more companies, including the ones that previously hated this ecosystem (I’m looking at you, Microsoft!), so nonprofits like The Linux Foundation keep expanding regularly with the addition of new members.
This week, TLF announced that no less than 34 organizations decided to support its projects and join the effort, including famous names like HP and BlockStream.
Of these 34 new members, 29 of them will join The Linux Foundation as Silver members, while the other 5 will act as Associate members.
“We are extremely excited to see 34 more companies make the commitment to open source by joining the Linux Foundation,” said Jim Zemlin, executive director, the Linux Foundation. “These organizations, which represent a huge range of industries from around the globe, will contribute valuable resources and knowledge to an already expansive open source ecosystem.”
