Today, October 19, 2016, GParted and GParted Live developer Curtis Gedak proudly announced the release of the GParted 0.27.0 open-source partition editor software.
GParted 0.27.0 is here to replace the previous stable build, namely GParted 0.26.1, which is currently used in numerous GNU/Linux distributions by default, and add a bunch of new features, starting with automatic detection of GRUB2 core.img files. Moreover, GParted 0.27.0 addresses an issue with the Mount Point column on openSUSE OSes.
It also looks like GParted will now exit when it’s closed before the initial load is complete, instead of hanging and become unresponsive. No dependencies have been removed of added in GParted 0.27.0, but there are a bunch of issues that got resolved, which means that the software should be more reliable and stable.
