The GNOME Project just launched the second and last scheduled maintenance update for the current stable GNOME 3.24 desktop environment, so we can’t help but notice that several apps and components are receiving updates.
The GNOME Shell user interface and Mutter window and composite manager have just been updated to version 3.24.2, as part of today’s GNOME 3.24.2 desktop environment release, and they contain various changes, most of them being fixes and workarounds for various issues.
Besides various miscellaneous bug fixes, GNOME Shell 3.24.2 comes with better support for handling errors from GNOME Shell extensions during reloading when settings are being changed, improved StEntry::primary-icon-clicked emission, support for allowing search providers to offer clipboard text for results, and the ability to fetch wea… (read more)
