As expected, today, October 12, 2016, GNOME 3.22.1 has been announced by GNOME developer Frederic Peters as the first point release in the series of the stable GNOME 3.22 desktop environment for GNU/Linux operating systems.
The GNOME 3.22 desktop environment launched only three weeks ago, on September 21, 2016, it’s one of the best releases so far, with dozens of improvements and new features to both core components and applications distributed as part of the GNOME Stack, and now GNOME 3.22.1 is here to add more stability to the project.
“Here comes our first update to GNOME 3.22, with many bug fixes, documentation and translation updates, and various improvements,” said Frederic Peters in today’s email announcement. “Packages should shortly arrive in your distribution of choice, and if you want to compile GNOME 3.22.1 by yourself, you can use the jhbuild modulesets.”
