GeckoLinux Static Editions Get Calamares Installer, Based on openSUSE Leap 42.2

Geckolinux static editions get calamares installer based on opensuse leap 42 2

The developers of the openSUSE-based GeckoLinux computer operating system have announced the release of a new set of respined live ISO images of their GNU/Linux distribution, which is now rebased on openSUSE Leap 42.2.

As you might be aware, openSUSE Leap is a rock-solid and well-tested Linux OS targeted at small and medium-sized businesses who want to use an open-source operating system that offers the reliability and stability they need to become successful. On the other hand, bleeding-edge users have openSUSE Tumbleweed.

openSUSE Tumbleweed follows a rolling release model, which means that it doesn’t get regular ISO releases, but instead keeps users’ computers up-to-date at all times through snapshots that contain the latest software releases. The GeckoLinux project produces two different set of ISOs, rolling and static.
