DVDStyler developer Alex Thüring is preparing for the launch of the 3.0 major release of his open-source and cross-platform DVD authoring software, DVDStyler.
The first Release Candidate build of DVDStyler 3.0 is finally here, available for anyone willing to take the upcoming software release for a test drive. It packs various new features and improvements, such as clipping protection support to the audio normalization feature and a “-alternate_scan” flag to the interlaced encoding component to let users use an alternative scanning method.
Among other features that have landed in today’s DVDStyler 3.0 Release Candidate build, we can mention two new menu templates, namely “MothersDay” and “Heart,” which users can add to their DVDs, as well as the ability to animate color object and numeric attributes when authoring a DVD. So yes, animations support is coming to DVDStyler 3.0.
