Please note that the default wallpaper directory for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS is located at /usr/share/backgrounds. By accessing this directory, you can discover, edit, remove, or add additional wallpapers to be displayed on your monitor.
We strongly recommend that you either upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or install it anew as soon as possible. While many may have an affinity for earlier versions such as Ubuntu 22.04 or even 23.10, upgrading to the newer and more stable Ubuntu 24.04 LTS will provide enhanced features and improved stability.
Also, each image is linked to its full-size version. You may also download the entire collection as a package, which includes over 50 high-quality wallpapers. The download option is available below the gallery.
For further customization, separate download links are available for community wallpapers that were submitted—I personally selected those I believe many of you will appreciate. Additionally, we offer a mobile phone version of the official wallpapers and a compact version of these wallpapers, where some elements have been streamlined for a cleaner look. All these download links are conveniently located at the bottom of this post.
