Canonical, through Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre, proudly announced the availability of a Technology Preview (TP) of Ubuntu Server’s new installer, which was secretly developed by various Ubuntu engineers over the past few months.
The new Ubuntu Server installed, called Subiquity, was developed during the development cycle of six months of the recently released Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) operating system, but only now Canonical decided to reveal it to the world, looking for feedback from the community.
“During the 17.04 development cycle, the Ubuntu Foundations team has been working on a new experimental installer for servers. We are now ready to get feedback from a wider audience,” said Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre, Ubuntu Foundations. “We’d love to get your feedback on it!”
