Zbigniew Konojacki has informed Softpedia today about the availability of the Beta release of his upcoming 4MRecover 18.0 data recovery Live CD distrolette, which is now ready for public testing.
Based, of course, on the 4MLinux 18.0 operating system, which is also in heavy development these days, with a Beta build out the door last week, the 4MRecover 18.0 Beta Live CD packs the latest versions of the TestDisk 7.0 and PhotoRec 7.0 utilities for recovering lost data from damaged disk drives and SD cards.
Users need to be aware of the fact that 4MRecover is not a GNU/Linux operating system per se, and that’s why we call it a distrolette – because it’s a small Live CD distro that was built around various data recovery tools, including the ones mentioned above.
